Why “Pinecone Diaries?”
The Pinecone.
Like Canadians,
Pinecones have many layers.
Pinecones are unique and diverse—no two pinecones are the same.
When pinecones open up, they reveal the seeds of something bigger.
Just as pinecones help build strong forests over time, the collective efforts of Canadians help create resilient and enduring communities. Both involve growth, interconnection, and nurturing an environment where life can thrive.
Diaries.
Are personal, reflective, and honest.
Capture our stories, insights, and everyday experiences.
A space for working things out, documenting thoughts, and making sense of life.
Diaries aren’t places for polished writing or journalism. They’re about capturing moments and trying to understand what they mean. When we share our journals, we share pieces of who we are, what makes us unique, and how we’re the same.
What else do you need to know?
In case you missed it, the reasons why I created Pinecone Diaries are listed here on the “About” page.
The “About” page also explains the differences between free and Premium (paid) subscriptions.
Full disclosure, I’m writing this newsletter to share Canadian stories, create a space to talk about Canadian stories, and as a way to earn an income. Free subscribers will receive occasional reminders of the Premium Perks available to paying subscribers.
If you can’t, or don’t want to pay for this content, please never feel pressured to do so.
